Bulk Terminals for Tank Terminal & Blending Services
Third Coast has an extensive terminal operation with more than 130 tanks in current service. Plans are in place to expand our Pearland Operations with an additional tanks exceeding 10 million gallons of total liquids storage. Storage tanks range in size from 1,000 to 90,000 gallons and materials of construction include carbon steel (lined and unlined), and stainless steel. Bulk product tanks typically have auto gauging, steam coils, nitrogen purge and dedicated pumps. Our site acreage has doubled to 62 acres allowing us to create additional railcar storage, giving our customers logistical advantage in both flexible short and long-term product storage availability.
We have utilities through-out the plant which include: high & low pressure natural gas, high & low pressure steam, dry plant air, nitrogen, RO/DI water, city sewer, storm and water, and 3 phase 480 volt electrical power. The electrical power for our current facilities are “Class 1, Division 2” for hazardous locations thereby enabling us to handle a full spectrum of petrochemicals. Certified truck scales are on-site for weighing all inbound and outbound bulk liquid and dry freight shipments.
Trans-loads may be made from any bulk container to the tank terminals; this includes railcar, bulk truck, flexi bag, ISO Bulk trailers and IBC containers. Retains are taken and tested in our on-site laboratory from each load assuring the incoming products meet our customer’s acceptance specifications. Each operation in the terminal is witnessed by at least two individuals independently. This is just a part of our internal quality assurance documentation and process.
