Third Coast Terminals, a privately held corporation, was started in Houston, Texas in 1998, with a 50,000 square foot warehouse and office, rail siding for 11 cars and 9 storage tanks with 500,000 gallons capacity. The facility was designed to cater to the contract blending, storage and drumming of industrial, fine chemical, food grade and pharmaceutical excipients industries.
Today, with a customer base that continues to grow geometrically, we have expanded to more than 130 tanks with over 6 million gallons of capacity. Currently our warehouse capacity is 65,000 square feet with 6 stationary drum/ tote filling lines, an enlarged rail siding for 77 cars and expanded laboratory services and product development onsite.
We continue to expand our capabilities for blending, storage, trans-loading, production and shipping operations within a 60 acre campus. Plans are in place for additional terminal tanks upgrading the terminal’s capacity to over 10 million gallons, an expansion of our rail siding to 260 cars, doubling our current warehousing capacity with the addition of “Flammable and Combustible” production, trans-loading and warehousing area as well as a new sparkler filtration processing capability area. All facilities are supported by a highly efficient work force with strong emphasis on health, safety, environmental, security and quality processes.
